Solgard Replacement Glass

After years of continual improvement and technological advances in coated glasses, regency glass is proud to announce a new concept in conservatory glazing.

We have introduced a select series of glass types that are perfect for use in glass buildings. This is a glass that combines solar control with thermal insulation, allowing the consumer to use the conservatory all year round. It is also an excellent response to current architectural trends, thanks to its neutrality and low reflection. Solgardand Solgard+ are silver-based coated products that offer the benefits of state-of-the-art magnetron coated glass and excellent Low-E performance coupled with the flexibility for fabrication and solar control performance of Solgard.

Performance
The special coating and subtle tint of Solgard combine to make the glass perfect for all seasons - warm in winter, cool in summer. It also ensures that unwanted glare and harmful UV light is kept to a minimum, helping the consumers comfort and protecting furniture from direct sunlight. The table below gives the impressive performance figures for Solgard and Solgard+ when compared to standard clear double glazing and polycarbonate.

Solar Factor
The percentage of total solar energy allowed to pass through the glass.

Light Transmittance
The percentage of visible light allowed to transmit through the glass

U-Value
This is the measurement used to calculate heat loss during colder 
periods. The lower the U-Value, the greater insulation achieved.

SOLGARD+tm
A new in-house process that is applied to the outside of the glass giving a protective 
barrier to the glass. It stops grime and other residues from bonding onto the glass 
thus ensuring that the glass in your home stays as easy to clean and bright as the 
day it was installed, giving the optimal clarity with the least possible effort.

Unique
Solgard is unique in allowing the customer unlimited possibilities of unit make-up. 
Due to Solgard being a dual coated product on one glass it allows for any other glass
type to complete the unit, giving endless permutations to the end user. So there are 
no restrictions of how the end product can look
